TO COMMEMORATE PRESIDENT CLINTON'S INAUGURATION (January 9, 1997 - Burbank, CA) -- Following up on the enormous success of its Virtual Election last November, Warner Bros. Online today announced special issue Inaugural WeB cards to commemorate President Clinton's Inauguration January 20th. The WeB cards, located on the world wide web at http://www.warnerbros.com, are programmed so users can send their congratulations directly to the White House. Ironically, President Clinton lost the Warner Bros. Virtual Election to The Brain, star of the animated television series, "Steven Spielberg Presents Pinky & The Brain." The Brain took the election with 42% of the vote and marked the first time in the history of the United States that an animated mouse has won public office. The Warner Bros. Virtual Election received more than seven thousand responses and was hosted by Kidsi WB! on the world wide web at http://www.warnerbros.com and on America Online at keyword: Kids WB. Voters were offered the choice of the three actual presidential candidates and three templates of animated stars, including Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, Tweety Bird and Sylvester, and The Brain and Pinky. The Warner Bros. Virtual Election featured photos and biographies of the candidates to review and compare prior to voting. The Brain & Pinky 42% "Steven Spielberg Presents Pinky & The Brain" airs weekends on Kids WB!, the WB Television Network is childrenis programming service. Each week, the laboratory mice hatch impossible schemes to take over the world, spearheaded by the Brainis ambition and superior intelligence. Pinky is the Brainis sidekick, whose energy and enthusiasm complement his friendis more reserved, intellectual personality.
