TEN MULTIPATH MOVIE TITLES AT E3 LOS ANGELES, CA April 27, 1998 -- Brilliant (TM) Digital Entertainment, Inc., (AMEX: BDE), a leading interactive entertainment content and tools developer and pioneer in Internet pay-per-view, today announced plans to demonstrate ten new Multipath (TM) Movie titles, a proprietary tool set that will enable companies with digital content to create interactive movies or training videos without prior programming experience, and an enhanced pay-per-view Internet video streaming service at E3, booth #2240 in Atlanta. The Multipath Movies being debuted at the show are part of BDE s planned 1998 release schedule of more than 15 titles. BDE s retail and Internet distribution strategy will focus the releases on the fourth quarter in time for the holiday shopping season. Ten New Multipath Movie Titles Over the past 18 months, Brilliant Digital Entertainment has signed high-profile character license agreements with Universal Studios, DC Comics, King Features Syndicate, Morgan Creek Productions, and Bantam Doubleday Dell to produce new Multipath Movie titles.

Revolutionary Tool Set Brilliant Digital Entertainment s one-of-a-kind proprietary software tool set empowers developers and producers to create interactive digital productions and Multipath Movies without any programming experience. The tool set, which borrows from film writing and production techniques, eliminates the need for expensive programming teams. New Pay-Per-View Technology
Brilliant Digital Entertainment will also announce a new and improved pay-per-view system that expands the features of the existing system. The system allows customers to stream new episodes of their favorite Multipath Movie titles through the Internet. This easy-to-use system is similar to purchasing pay-per-view movies on a home television. Subscribers are issued an access code that permits them to instantly access new Multipath Movie episodes. New episode requests are directly billed to a credit card or an Internet Service Provider (ISP) account. The new system will be available for use in the fourth quarter of 1998.

Multipath Movies are three-dimensional, digitally animated stories, each with multiple plot alternatives or paths, leading to distinct conclusions that are influenced by the user. Each Multipath Movie runs approximately the same length as a film or video. Brilliant Digital Entertainment's proprietary software tools allow for seamless interactivity with a click of the mouse. Users can dictate the story and alter each character's mood and ensuing actions.
