FUJITSU AND NEW RADIO STAR
ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP IN NEWRADIOWORLD!
UNLIKE ANYTHING YOU’VE EVER SEEN BEFORE!

SAN JOSE, Calif., October 14, 1998 - The WorldsAway Products & Services group, a division of Fujitsu, is joining with New Radio Star to create a new virtual world, for and about radio. Live demos will be given at the Park Plaza Suites 3-4pm everyday this week. Ask for Bob Hamilton at the desk.

Early promotions with radio and WorldsAway virtual worlds showed instant audience response, and prompted Fujitsu to contact New Radio Star to form an extensive and sophisticated new world specifically for the radio industry. NewRadioWorld is a web-based replica of the United States, where a station’s listeners can visit cities via a bullet train, spend time in bars and cafes, listen to radio stations, talk to other people and even buy products and rent their own apartment. NewRadioWorld is currently being developed and has unveiled its first site areas for New Radio Star. David Andrews, Vice President of the WorldsAway Products & Services group says, "This is a giant step forward for the radio industry and the Internet. New Radio Star and Fujitsu are the most logical partners to execute this successfully."

Radio stations in NewRadioWorld will be comprised of a virtual studio, reception and lounge areas where these stations can schedule events with their listeners, such as weekend parties, webcasts, or singles mixers. Stations will also be able to sell advertising to local clients which can be in the form of a billboard on the street or objects in a room (buy a cup of coffee, click on the cup and actually buy a pound of coffee and have it shipped to you).

"This is putting a face on radio that will allow listeners as well as radio personnel to have a depth of experience that has never been possible before," New Radio Star President Bob Hamilton commented, adding "The listener can now be a real part of the station, which can do nothing more than increase both cume and time spent listening." About the WorldsAway team he noted, "They are as imaginative a group of people as you will ever work with, and this is the natural step for online radio to take. Radio in this age is no longer just an audio medium."

NewRadioWorld.com will unveil its first cities in early November, growing to 20 cities by early 1999. Radio stations involved will have format exclusivity in their individual markets.
