"SEINFELD" GANG IS GUILTY IN POLLING
IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE
FINAL EPISODE OF "SEINFELD" SERIES!

(BURBANK, CA -- Friday, May 15, 1998) -- Thursday night, the final episode of "Seinfeld" ended with Jerry, Elaine, George and Kramer sitting in a jail cell with a one year sentence for not helping a carjack victim.

Following the last episode of "Seinfeld," the official Web site of the show located at http://www.seinfeld.com, conducted a viewer poll to determine if the online audience thought the four characters were guilty or innocent of the charges. In the first 24 hours following the show, over 72,000 votes were cast, with 55% of those voting in the digital jury box saying "Guilty" with the remaining 45% voting "Not Guilty."

The poll, located at http://www.seinfeld.com, will continue through the weekend, with final results issued Sunday night at midnight via fax and/or e-mail for media outlets’ Monday broadcasts. The rolling results of the poll will also be posted on the site at http://www.seinfeld.com, the official online site of the show.

During the Thursday night event, the seinfeld.com site delivered 7,807,298 hits resulting in a total of 1,860,000 impressions to the site. Of this total traffic, 36% occurred during the broadcast of the final show. In addition, 64% of all online chat minutes occurred during the same broadcast, indicating that online users are using their television and computer concurrently.
