REVNET ANNOUNCES UNITYMAIL 3.0
Email Marketing Software

Dynamic Content Management
UnityPost Email Delivery Engine

Los Angeles, CA(April 14, 1999)--Revnet Systems www.revnet.com today announced UnityMail Version 3.0, a major upgrade to the industry’s first database-enabled email marketing software for Windows NT. The new release, scheduled for delivery in May, is the first email list server to provide dynamic content management technology that enables users to automatically deliver individualized information and database content to subscribers to an email list. Concurrent with the release of UnityMail 3.0, Revnet is introducing UnityPost, a high-speed SMTP email delivery engine designed for UnityMail 3.0. The announcement was made today at the Spring Internet World ’99 trade show at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Dynamic Content Management:
With UnityMail 3.0, marketers can create email messages that are dynamically created and targeted to a specific market segment. UnityMail 3.0 will automatically retrieve the most up-to-date information from a database prices, sale items, stock market quotes, airline ticket information, scores, concert ticket availabilities, or other time-sensitive information and deliver a custom version to specific customers based on demographics, personal profiles, buying behavior or clicks on trackable web links.

“Customers will be able to request regular notification of items placed on sale,” says Stuart Obermann, Revnet CEO. “Using UnityMail, retailers and other e-commerce vendors will be able to easily notify customers of opportunities for new purchases and savings. The data can be accessed from the corporate database automatically and delivered daily, weekly or as part of a campaign.”

UnityPost for volume email delivery:
Because of the requirements of many of its customers for high-volume delivery of personalized email, Revnet created UnityPost for UnityMail 3.0. UnityPost is a new high-speed SMTP email delivery engine that takes advantage of UnityMail’s capacity for producing very high volumes of personalized email. UnityPost will be a useful tool for email lists of any size where the timing and management of the delivery is critical.

Scalability features:
In addition to UnityPost, UnityMail 3.0 will include other options to improve scalability. Administrators will have the option to use Microsoft’s Internet Information Server (IIS) for high-member traffic interactions. This will be particularly important for high-traffic sites using UnityMail web forms to subscribe members to an email list with demographic data.

Licensing and availability:
UnityMail 3.0 is licensed for a single Windows NT server or workstation based on the number of subscribers, the number of list manager accounts and enterprise connectivity capabilities. UnityMail 3.0 scheduled for shipping in May, 1999. UnityMail and other Revnet Systems products are sold primarily through an established worldwide distribution channel.

Browser-managed and designed for ease-of-use, UnityMail is used by over 200 corporations and other organizations around the world. Clients include Sony Consumer Electronics, NBC, Alamo, BancBoston Robertson Stephens, Book of the Month Club, Digitrends, AARP, Sony Music, Mirage Resorts, CCBN, 3M, EDS, the San Diego Padres, the New York Yankees, Virtual Visits, Rodale Press, the Houston Chronicle and many others.
