INTRODUCED AT DIRECT MARKETING DAYS NY NEW YORK, NY., (May 24, 1999) -- Revnet Systems, Inc. http://www.revnet.com Direct Marketing Days New York, Booth No. 282, the leading North American e-mail list management products and services firm, today announced the Revnet Application Service Provider (ASP) program. This e-mail list hosting service, using Revnet's UnityMail, gives system integration companies, web designers, service providers and value-added resellers a license to host UnityMail for their clients. Current participants in the new program include EDS http://www.eds.com for General Motors and Kraft Foods, ITC Deltacom http://www.deltacom.com for such clients as Southern Progress, and Infinicom http://www.infinicom.no, Scandinavia's largest Internet service provider. According to Guran Hullert, president of Infinicom, the ability to provide easily managed e-mail list hosting services is a critical function. UnityMail is a complete, easy-to-use package that saves Infinicom an enormous amount of time. And, it provides the range of personalization capabilities and database linkages our clients demand. Stuart Obermann, Revnet President, notes that the ASP Program is designed to enable companies to build a continuing source of revenue. More and more organizations require the ability to keep in touch with their customers, users and other important people with personalized e-mail. The ASP program enables them to have this important capability provided for them by service companies that they know and trust. A Revnet ASP receives a license to use the software for hosting the UnityMail application for its customers, typically on a rental basis. Each ASP establishes pricing for their service. The license includes free upgrades and technical support. Companies who want to purchase UnityMail and use it for internal purposes only can still purchase the software. The standard, end user version UnityMail software license specifically prohibits commercial resale of the software, including through hosting. The ASP program does not apply to these companies. UnityMail is software for direct e-mail marketing, and was the first commercial database-driven e-mail list server for Windows NT capable of delivering focused, personalized e-mail sorted dynamically by demographic attributes. UnityMail combines a database (built-in or linked to SQL Server or Oracle) with form-building tools for capturing enrollment data from a Web site. Huntsville, Alabama-based Revnet is an Internet software development firm that specializes in e-mail marketing and list management products and services. Revnet clients include the New York Yankees, Sony Music, BancBoston, Staples, Ingram Micro, Mirage Resorts, Alamo, Carnegie Hall, CNBC, Dun&Bradstreet, and many others.
